Our motivation
Taking responsibility together
Knowing where we stand in the climate crisis prompted us to found Hotels for Future. What scientists have been repeating like a mantra for decades is plain to see: we must change the way we live – immediately and substantially. Denying reality with a “hear no evil, see no evil” mentality cannot go on for much longer.
Natural climate protection
The extreme weather proves it: the world is falling apart around us. Are the countless daily reports in newspapers and specialist journals, or the science-based TV documentaries, really so hard to understand? One very simple, immediately feasible and easily measurable way to take CO₂ from the atmosphere and lock it into the biosphere is to plant mixed forests.
No more large-scale clear-cutting, but balanced and sustainable use of our forests. Can we, as a business, do something for the future? Of course – because climate protection starts on our own doorstep, and it doesn’t end there. And you don’t have to do without it on holiday or on a business trip either. Hotels for Future is the project closest to my heart, my vision for a liveable future.
